Alloy X Union Tube Fittings is nickel – base and typically contains 22 % chromium, 14 % molybdenum, and 3 % tungsten, where iron is normally limited to less than 3 %. Alloy X Compression Fittings also offers optimum resistance to environments where reducing and oxidizing conditions are encountered in process streams. Chromium in Alloy X Tube Fittings gives resistance to oxidizing conditions, such as nitric acid solutions, nitrates and oxidizing salts.
