ASTM A312 TP 304L is a low carbon version of the SS alloy. It has low carbide precipitation because of the lower content of carbon, it results in good welding. Therefore it can be welded by any type of traditional welding process so it can survive in the severe corrosive environment. This grade has good mechanical properties also it has some versatile attributes.
It is widely used pipes because of its chromium-nickel content. These pipes resist atmospheric corrosion also moderately oxidizing and reducing media. Moreover, this grade pipes has good resistance to intergranular corrosion. This alloy has excellent strength and toughness even at hoists temperatures. it can become magnetic in cold working process and turn slightly nonmagnetic at the annealed condition.

Tests are conducted to check the reliability of the fabricated product. Each station has different tests including mechanical test, tensile test, PMI test, intergranular corrosion test, radiographic test, ultrasonic test, and third-party inspection.
